The goal was to build trust with the audience with clear messaging and design that demonstrates The Sales Evangelist’s understanding of their challenges while showcasing his proven expertise as the skillful guide they need. As such, the design had to be straightforward, professional, and trustworthy — elements that are vital when you’re asking business owners to invest in the lifeblood of their business.

The clean design and balanced use of white space create an approachable, organized feel that is professional and easy-to-navigate. Smiling photos of Donald Kelly in his element add a personalized touch and feeling of connection and confidence.

The color palette is dominated by shades of blue, chiefly bright sky tones that lend an energetic appeal, balanced by deeper, darker hues that evoke feelings of trust and dependability. Again, all important associations for his target audience — business owners who want an expert Sales Consultant they can trust to guide their sales to new heights. The blue palette is contrasted by the use of warm gold for all Call-to-Action buttons. They stand out and scream “click me!” while also providing an association with fun and profit — exactly how sales should be.

Because The Sales Evangelist podcast is a primary content driver, we made sure to make it easily accessible to those visiting the website. Yes, there's a dedicated podcast page, but we took it one step further with the inclusion of a responsive, non-intrusive player at the bottom of the screen, regularly updated with the most recently released podcast.

The final result is a website with design, messaging, and usability that makes it easy for business owners to understand what The Sales Evangelist does, how he can help them, and why they should schedule a consult immediately.
